Apron Infrastructure
Aircraft Stands & Capacity
The airport apron includes three marked aircraft stands with the following reference codes and typical aircraft types:
- Code D (wingspan up to 52 m) – suitable for aircraft such as MD-11, IL-76, B767, A300, C-17 and other aircraft with maximum length up to 62.0 m.
- Code C+ (wingspan up to 42 m) – suitable for aircraft such as C-130H, AN-12 and other aircraft with maximum length up to 34.5 m.
- Code C- (wingspan up to 30 m) – suitable for aircraft such as ATR 72, Fokker 50, L-610 and other aircraft with maximum length up to 27.5 m.
Ground Handling Operations
Ground handling services at Gorna Oryahovitsa Airport cover the full turnaround process for cargo, business, and special flights, including:
- Aircraft guidance with a "FOLLOW ME" vehicle
- Parking at designated aircraft stands
- Provision of specialized ground support equipment for pre-flight, transit, and post-flight handling
- Loading and unloading of cargo and baggage
- Engine start support

Airport Charges
In addition to core ground handling, Gorna Oryahovitsa Airport provides its own transport for crew and operational needs and can arrange hotel reservations in Veliko Tarnovo and Gorna Oryahovitsa through trusted local partners.
Airport charges are applied in accordance with Bulgarian civil aviation legislation and the applicable airport fee regulations. All amounts below are shown in EUR.

Parking Fees
Parking beyond the free stay period is charged at 20% of the landing fee for each 24-hour period or part of it. For aircraft based at the airport permanently or seasonally, the basing fee for one day equals the domestic parking fee, which is 5% of the domestic landing fee for each 24-hour period or part of it.
Passenger Service Fees
The passenger service fee paid by the carrier is EUR 8 for each departing passenger on international flights and EUR 1.50 for each departing passenger on domestic flights. Children aged 2 to 12 years are charged 50% of the applicable adult fee.
